Tyson and Paul's reps said to be are thrashing out plans for a headline pay-per-view bout later this year, according to the Sun Online.

Tyson is now reportedly set to get back in the ring once again, but this time to face 24-year-old Paul, who boasts a 5-0 boxing record - despite more than a 30 year age gap between the boxers.'A verbal deal has been struck to get it on, but like all forms of sports business, now it's all about the contracts and money split.

One Vegas source, who counts Tyson as a business associate, confirmed that 'if all goes to plan' then the fight is on.

The source said: 'Mike and Jake are on board for an exhibition bout in Las Vegas.

Mike is looking for a certain figure to get into the ring with a profit share guarantee.

'Jake obviously has that on his mind but is keen to show the world that stepping into the ring with a man once called the baddest man on the planet, takes his boxing career to the next level.

'This fight bridges the gap between old school boxing fans and the new generation of followers.'

The source added that organisers hope the bout will generate as much as £36million as a live and pay per view event.

Paul recently knocked former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley out cold - ending their rivalry following a split decision earlier in 2021.He has also beaten fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib, basketball player Nate Robinson and another MMA star Ben Askren.

Paul has since been flirting with the idea of competing in MMA and was even seen practising his leg kicks.

Fans were however not impressed with the American's technique, insisting he will be knocked out if he steps foot in the MMA world, and instead urging him to remain in boxing.
